As a purpose-led business, making a positive impact through the power of technology is what inspires and drives us.
We believe technology can help us solve the most pressing problems facing our world and create a better, more sustainable future for everyone.
From connected cities to connected sport, we've seen how technology creates opportunities and drives positive change. How it improves access to quality healthcare, protects all life on our planet and empowers the next generation to innovate with purpose.
At the heart of our business are relationships built on loyalty, commitment and a shared belief in what’s possible when we work together: a better, more sustainable future for everyone.
That’s why we employ curious people who are ready to change the world.
And why we’re constantly innovating, harnessing the collective effort of our people, partners, clients and the communities we work in to find brave solutions to big challenges.
Because together,
we enable the connected future.
Together we do great things
Connected Conservation
Protecting our natural heritage for future generations
Creating a world where animals roam free
Connected Conservation is a program that started in a private game reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park in South Africa. Together with Cisco, we architected a solution that connects multiple types of technology to track the movement of people, identifying those with dubious intent so rangers can step in early to prevent harm to the animals. We reduced rhino poaching by 96% in the first year of operation, and the program has subsequently expanded into Zambia and Kenya.
The age of restoration will be born from the age of information. The human species is creative – if we can begin to reach out and restore, and create a safe haven for wildlife, it will be a great step forward for us all.
Dave Varty, Conservationist
Our vision for eradicating poaching encompasses more than technology.
It’s only through a collective effort that we’ll be able to protect our wildlife. That’s why we continue to uplift and educate communities around the reserves on the importance of conservation. We’ve also integrated our database with that of the police for ongoing security.
