Together with Zwift, we’re delivering innovative fan experiences to the world of esports
As we continue our digital transformation journey in sport and focus on diversity in sport, we're excited to partner with Zwift to bring innovation to the world of esports. We're bringing data-led storytelling to fans around the world, and celebrating diversity and inclusion with the first ever men's and women's UCI Cycling eSports World Championships.
Through our partnership Zwift we've been able to extract more intelligence from the data they collect with the Zwift efficiency rating.
The Zwift efficiency rating measures the skill required to be efficient on Zwift and shows how riders conserve their energy for the right moment. The popularity of esports, especially during COVID, shows that cycling indoors is one of the most convenient ways to consume fitness and the addition of data insights has extended the reach of the sport beyond participants, turning it into a spectator sport.
Together with NTT we’ve worked to create this new value that’s unique to Zwift – the Zwift Efficiency rating

Creating a world where animals roam free
Connected Conservation is a program that started in a private game reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park in South Africa. Together with Cisco, we architected a solution that connects multiple types of technology to track the movement of people, identifying those with dubious intent so rangers can step in early to prevent harm to the animals. We reduced rhino poaching by 96% in the first year of operation, and the program has subsequently expanded into Zambia and Kenya.
The age of restoration will be born from the age of information. The human species is creative – if we can begin to reach out and restore, and create a safe haven for wildlife, it will be a great step forward for us all.
Dave Varty, Conservationist
Our vision for eradicating poaching encompasses more than technology.
It’s only through a collective effort that we’ll be able to protect our wildlife. That’s why we continue to uplift and educate communities around the reserves on the importance of conservation. We’ve also integrated our database with that of the police for ongoing security.
Finding a solution to stop poaching and the illegal wildlife trade is a priority for us
